Aloe Vera and DIY Soothing Face Mask

I am very conscious of the ingredients I put in and on my body. So, when it comes to beauty products, I only use ones with all natural ingredients. I also have very sensitive and dry skin so, I keep my routine very simple.

A few months ago I started using aloe vera as a part of my daily beauty routine.  I have found that it not only calms and helps hydrate my skin but it also clears any blemish I may have. I recommend using the clear, 100% aloe vera rather than the typical blue aloe vera. The clear aloe vera is completely natural so, you can rest easy knowing no unnecessary ingredients are being absorbed through your skin.

Clear skin starts from within. Good digestion and a healthy gut is essential for healthy skin. Aloe Vera is anti-inflammatory and helps coat the lining of your gut to aid digestion. So, along with topically applying aloe vera every day, I also take a shot of 100% aloe vera juice every morning. I have found this to help prevent any bloating I may experience during the day as well as provide me with antioxidants.

DIY Soothing Face Mask


  1. 1 tsp of  Aloe Vera
  2. 2. 1/2 tsp of  Rose Water
  3. 3. 1 tsp of Raw Honey
  4. 4. 1 1/2 tsp of Greek Yogurt    


  1. mix all the ingredients together
  2. apply a generous amount to your face
  3. let the mask sit for 10-15 minutes
  4. rinse off with a warm wet cloth
  5. follow with moisturizer
